The skin on the hands tends to age faster as they are exposed daily to chemicals, smoke and, most importantly, UV radiation. Over time the plump layer of tissue on the back of your hands diminishes, allowing veins and tendons to become more visible. Pigmentation and age spots can also cause the hands to age. We offer a range of treatments that rejuvenate the hands such as fillers, IPL skin rejuvenation and Image Resurfacing treatments, all of which can be combined with an Image home skincare plan to protect and replenish the hands.
Dermal fillers will restore volume to the back of the hands, making veins and tendons less visible. They can also be used to plump up the skin, smoothing out wrinkles and lines. Below is an example of how dermal fillers can be used to rejuvenate the hands.
Before and After
IPL Skin Rejuvenation
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments can be used to treat pigmentation and age spots on the hands. IPL emits a broad spectrum of pulsed light to reach several layers of the skin simultaneously, improving the texture, quality, colour and health of your skin. The wavelengths of light penetrate deep into the skin tissue to stimulate the cells beneath the skin’s surface, and triggers the body’s response to eliminates injured tissues and dead skin cells.
Image Skin Resurfacing treatments
A resurfacing treatment can improve clarity, even skintone, improve colour and texture. The Image Lightening Lift is a gently blend of lactic acid and lightening and brightening agents to reduce sun spots and pigmentation.
Each treatment can be combined with the Image skincare range to enhance the results. The Total Rejuvenating Hand Creme spf 15 is a super hydrating UVA/UVB moisturiser for the hands. It diminishes age spots with a blend of natural skin lightening agents, and protects against harmful effects of the sun while building up collagen to restore youthful skin on the hands. It can be combined with the lightening serum to target pigmentation.
