Collagen makes up ¾ of the bulk of the dermis layer, which provides strength and elasticity to our skin. As part of the ageing process, natural collagen breaks down, diminishing facial volume. This can be damaged by acne, sun, free radicals and by dynamic movement caused by frowning.
This loss of elasticity and volume results in wrinkles, facial lines and skin laxity that rob your skin of its youthful appearance. As the collagen breaks down our skin falls into the resulting void creating lines and wrinkles.
We can address these facial lines using injectable Fillers, which can help fill lines and creases, creating a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. Dermal fillers are substances that are injected just below the surface of the skin to replenish the supporting elements, filling lines, wrinkles and scars from the inside out. Dermal fillers are very popular with our clients as results are seen immediately and risks with the treatment are relatively low.
Fillers can be used to enhance numerous areas including:
- – Nose to Mouth Lines
- – Marionette (smokers) lines
- – Contours of the mouth
- – Frown Lines
- – Tear Troughs
- – Scar Reduction
- – Lip enhancement
- – Cheek augmentation
- – Jaw line correction
- – Nose line correction
- – Brow lift
- – Hand rejuvenation
The results of a treatment with dermal fillers are long lasting, without being permanent, giving you the freedom of choice to maintain the effect. The effects will generally last 6 to 12 months (6 months in the lips).
Our most popular treatments in the clinic is Lip Fillers:
Many of us long for beautiful full lips and can’t help but be envious of celebs that always seem to have the perfect pout. From Angelina to Adele to Kylie Jenner there are plenty of famous faces whose voluptuous lips we lust after. As we age, our lips start to get thinner and lose their definition; you may have noticed fine lines forming around your lips and at the corners. A more defined lip line or fuller lips can be achieved at Renaissance Clinic using hyaluronic acid based Lip Fillers to give you the lip line and shape you desire.
Lip Fillers are commonly referred to as lip enhancement, lip injections and lip augmentation.
One Week Prior to your treatment:
One week prior to treatment, patients should avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications, Vitamin E and St. John’s Wort. This will help minimize any bruising or bleeding.
The most common side effects are temporary swelling and redness and these will usually subside within 2-3 days.
As this industry is constantly advancing, updating and changing, our medical team continuously research the latest products and techniques to ensure we are always offering the most up-to-date treatments and technology.
For clients attending Renaissance Clinic, our goal is to provide superior and natural-looking results.
